What to keep in mind.
5 tips from the recipe — small details that make a real difference to the final dish.
- 1Use slightly stale or day-old bread. It holds its shape better and absorbs the egg mixture without falling apart.
- 2For a richer, more indulgent flavor, use ghee or butter for frying instead of oil.
- 3Whisking the eggs well until frothy will result in a lighter and fluffier omlet coating.
- 4Do not overcrowd the pan. Cook one or two slices at a time for the best results.
- 5Ensure the pan is adequately heated before adding the bread to get a crispy, non-greasy exterior.
